I’ve three rides at Aintree today.
Ballyboker Breeze was running a big race at Perth last time in September when unseating three out. A winner of three chases he was a very impressive when scoring over course and distance in June. He is a big horse who needs good ground and a galloping track. A repeat of that run should give him an e.w chance in todays eight runner veterans event.
The main opponent is Beat That a winner of two of his last three starts.
Brian Hughes in action
Cloudy Dream, a high class chaser finished second in the Old Roan for me last year beaten three quarters of a length by Smad Place. He has under achieved in the win category having been runner up in so many Graded contests. Hopefully this is the season when things start to go in his favour as he makes his first appearance for the McCain yard. He is consistent and will enjoy the flat galloping track and the good ground. I am looking forward to the ride with Frodon and Javert main rivals.
Frodon & Javert are the two for me to keep an eye on in this race.
Whiteoak Fleur, who ran well in two bumpers in the Spring, returns after a five months break. She has strengthened up over the summer and will enjoy the course and the good going. I am expecting a big run from my horse with place possibilities.
Irish Points winner Legends Gold and Tashunka look the main dangers.
Best Of Luck to all attending the Aintree meeting.
