I’m off to Musselburgh on Monday for five rides.
Nefyn Point, a full brother to Nefyn Bay, ran well on his bumper debut in April when finishing third, beaten by just over four lengths.
He is a nice type of horse who jumps well at home and I am looking forward to the ride on his first hurdling start.
Doctor Dex, ahead of my horse last time, is the one to beat.
Special Prep, a hurdle winner at Southwell last October, has run well for me on a number of occasions and may be able to get the better of his two rivals. Three runner affairs can be unpredictable, though.
Monsieur Co showed improved form on his second start for the Keith Dalgleish yard, finishing third, beaten by under 12 lengths here two weeks ago.
Another step forward would allow him to make a race of it with Ontopoftheworld successful in four of his last six runs.
Craig Star, a winner of four hurdles, ran well at Kelso for me 30 days ago. He finished second of seven, beaten by two and a quarter lengths.
He is fit and well and hopefully the reapplication of blinkers will allow him to go close today.
Court Liability, on a fourtimer, is probably the one to beat.
Thyne For Gold recorded his second chase victory at Bangor 26 days ago, prevailing by a neck. This was a good effort as he was returning from a break of 475 days.
He should improve for the run and has an excellent chance today.
Elmono finished second at the track two weeks ago and could be the chief threat.
