Jockey Brian Hughes ride at Worcester
August 15th, 2018

Worcester Wednesday 15th August 2015

Toals sponsored jockey Brian Hughes is riding tonight at Worcester and here are his tips for this evenings meeting.

I travel to Worcester for four rides on Wednesday evening beginning in the opener at 5.10 Burrows Lane is a bumper and hurdles winner, has his second chase start today. His form of late has been rather inconsistent and he needs to show some improvement to play a part in the finish. Master Sunrise,a good winner last time and looks to be the main danger.

5.50 Ofcourseiwill is very consistent with a win and four seconds from his last five starts. He was beaten by half a length for me on his last run at Cartmel twenty five days ago. This Irish point scorer makes his chase debut in the seven runner handicap and provided he handles the larger obstacles he should have a good chance. He has schooled well at home and I am concerned that the trip may be on the short side. Dr Dunraven is a dual chase winner and Holryale looks to be the pick of the opposition.
6.50 Marvellous Monty is a maiden after seventeen rule attempts. I rode her for the first time at Ffos Las in June finishing sixth beaten seventeen lengths. It was a strange race as a number of hurdles were omitted due to the low sun. She retains the blinkers and hopefully the step up in trip will suit her. Best recent winning form has been shown by Sauvignon and Outrageous Rose. If my horse puts her best foot forward she could have an e.w chance.
7.50 Redemption Song was a winner for me of a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen in November 17. She returns after a six month break and a wind op. A very consistent type she has hopefully benefited from both the break and the surgery. I expect her to run well fitted with a tongue strap in this handicap. For me Mr Caffrey and Starcrossed are the main dangers.
