I’m at Uttoxeter today for four rides.
Pink Legend finished sixth of 14 on her rules debut in a bumper at Bangor in May, beaten by sixteen and a half lengths.
This is her first hurdling start after a break of 216 days and I hope she runs well, benefitting from the mares’ allowance.
Captain Drake with hurdling experience and Liosduin Bhearna look the main players.
Gray Day, a winner of two hurdles in 2015 and 2017, ran a reasonable race at Cheltenham 33 days ago on his comeback after a 406-day absence.
He probably needed the run and should show improvement today with suitable conditions.
Ballymagroarty Boy and Perfect Summer look the main challengers.
Blakerigg has won his last two chases for me returning after wind surgery.
He is an improving horse and impressed eight days ago at Newcastle, coming home eleven lengths clear.
He is in good form at home and has an excellent chance of completing the hat trick despite the penalty.
The main rival is Truckers Highway, a winner of seven chases and successful last time out.
Super Mac, an expensive gelded son of Yeats, makes his racing debut in the concluding bumper.
He is a big galloping type from a good family and I hope he goes well.
King Roland, an Irish Point winner in March and Stung For Cash look threats.
