Brian’s Rides at Hexham

I have a full book of six rides at Hexham today

12.50 Madam Cloud:

An Irish Point winner. Disappointed on rules debut at Aintree in late October I expect my horse to improve going jumping today.

Main Danger:

The winner may be Hill Sixteen, an expensive purchase in the same ownership and a promising third in a good hurdle at Carlisle seventeen days ago.

1.20 Senor Lombardy:

Has had two wins, a bumper and a hurdle sandwiched between two seconds in similar events in late 17. A successful Irish Pointer he returns after an eleventh month break for his first chase. He is a very talented horse and should have an excellent chance today.

Main Danger:

Donna’s Diamond with some good wins including a Grade 2 hurdle looks the main threat.

1.50 The Character:

A winner of three hurdles and has been off the track since his last win in April 17. He will be suited by the track and going but may need the run.

Main Danger:

Hat trick seeking Take A Break and Teescomponent Lad look serious rivals.

2.25 Amilliontimes:

Has yet to recapture the glory days of 2016 when he notched up a four timer. He ran well for me at Perth in 17 finishing second and more recently at the same track coming third beaten under five lengths. In an open affair my horse could have an e.w chances if he stays the four mile trip.

Main Danger:

Tickenwolf, a winner of three chases here and Crank Em Up look the dangers.

2.55 Chanceanotherfive:

Won two bumpers for me and was runner up in another in late 17-early 18. He has disappointed in four hurdles outings but a return to form would give him an e.w chance in a weak contest.

Main Danger:

Mac Cennitig ran well at Wetherby nineteen days ago and may be the chief opponent.

3.30 Echo Express:

A bumper winner in March 17 lost his form after two placed hurdle runs towards the end of last year. He returns from a six month break for his chasing debut and I am expecting a big run.

Main Danger:

The ultra consistent Red Ochre, five seconds from his last six starts looks the form choice.
