Conor McGregor Holding Press Conference in Russia

This Thursday Conor McGregor is holding a press conference in Russia. A huge announcement is expected!

Not too long ago ‘The Notorious’ was the top man in mixed martial arts. Anybody within 10 meters of him wanted a sniff of that famous ‘red panty night’ and an opportunity of a lifetime.

When your name alone sells pay-per-view buys, the UFC is willing to tolerate a lot. Convincing the UFC brass to co-promote with the Mayweather-McGregor bizarre but intriguing cross-over event showed the heights of McGregor’s stardom!

Twitter spat this weekend with Dana White and Khabib

UFC President Dana White, recently announced in an interview this past weekend, that the Notorious will fight again next year but will no longer be calling the shots after his recent antics.

“Khabib is the man now, Conor isn’t the man anymore, so Khabib gets to sit back and call the shots.”

Of course this sparked a reaction from the Irishman on Twitter:

The Russian media reported that he will not be there on behalf of the UFC, but to promote his Whiskey Proper Twelve. However could the conference shed light on a potential octagon return?

The news comes as McGregor fueled speculation of a rematch with Khabib after posting a photo appearing of him in a Russian embassy. Presumably to secure a visa for his venture.

Who’s his possible opponents?

A fight against former Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar has been touted for this December while a Khabib rematch in the cards for the near future.

Conor McGregor has reportedly been offered fights against Justin Gaethje and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. Both bouts were rejected by the Irishman. Nate Diaz’ name has also been thrown into the mix for a potential trilogy fight.

Nothing has yet has been confirmed. Whatever the outcome, make sure to have your eyes peeled on McGregor’s social media over the next few days…..
