The countdown to the new Irish League season is upon us, with the full list of games announced this morning. Can champions Linfield hold onto their crown?
With the new season, brings new players, new teams and new fixtures of course!
The first round of games will kicks off on Saturday the 10th of August, with some very interesting match-ups and early season talking points.
Linfield will start off their title defense at home in Windsor Park to Institute, with the chasing pack looking to get their hands on the Gibson Cup for the 2019/2020 season.
Our partners and current Irish Cup champions Crusaders welcome Carrick Rangers to Seaview. North-Belfast rivals Cliftonville will be preparing for their first full season under new manager Paddy McLaughlin with an away trip to Coleraine.
While Glentoran travel away to Glenavon and newly-promoted Larne welcoming Warrenpoint for their first game of the season.
North Belfast rivals Cliftonville and Crusaders will meet for the first time, when they play each other at Solitude in the third round of fixtures on the 17th of August.
Stephen Baxter will be preparing his side for their Europa League qualifier game on the 11th of July, until their attention focuses on the opening games of the league campaign. Crusaders opening league ties include games against Carrick, Warrenpoint, Cliftonville, Larne and Dungannon Swifts.
