Believe it or not, we are heading into gameweek 4 of the NFL regular season. With some teams gaining nice momentum and others hoping to keep their season alive.
The opening game of gameweek 4 sees former Superbowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Lambeau Field to take on the undefeated 3-0 Green Bay Packers.
The home side hold a 2-0 record in Wisconsin and have won four of the last five meetings between the teams.
New Head Coach Matt LaFleur has imposed a solid running game with Aaron Jones running for 174 yards and three TD’s so far. Helping QB Aaron Rodgers out offensively has taken a massive weight off his shoulders.
Against the run the Eagles have impressed, ranking second in rushing yards conceded which should halt Jones’ chances. But the Eagles haven’t got it going themselves.
They may be able to stop the rush, but are vulnerable through the air. QB Carson Wentz will look to air it out more, so expect both teams to put up big points on the scoreboard tonight.
The first mouth-watering game of the NFL Sunday action sees the Carolina Panthers travel into Houston to take on the 2-1 Texans.
The 1-2 Panthers have decided to let QB Cam Newton heel up for a few weeks and deployed backup Kyle Allen last weekend, who went off for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Impressive.
Some say the organisation are sick of Newton’s injury history and are ready to move off the former Superbowl finalist. While the Texans are confident in QB Deshaun Watson’s ability and link-up with star receiver Deandre Hopkins.
The home-team Texans have recorded wins over the Chargers and Jaguars, with their defense recording nine sacks over the past two weeks. This could be a long night for the week 3 standout Allen who is only making his third career start.
If I told you the Detroit Lions have won two and drew one of their opening three games would you believe me? Second year head-coach Matt Patricia’s team have certainly gone under the radar.
With the addition of Trey Flowers and Snacks Harrison on defense, it has really been QB Matt Stafford and RB Kerryon Johnson who deserve the applauds.
The Lions drew 27-27 with the Cardinals in their opening game, beating the Chargers and pulling out a 27-24 victory over the Eagles. However they are like a lucky bag, you never know what your going to get with them!
We all know about the Chiefs and star QB Patrick Mahomes ability who has led his team to a 3-0 start. He has racked up 1,195 yards and 10 TD’s through these first three games, and that’s without star wideout Tyreek Hill.
Matt Patricia will look to master-mind a plan to stop coach Andy Reid and Mahomes. I think this will be a step too far.
What a match-up on prime-time television this Sunday Night! The unbeaten Dallas Cowboys travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints inside the noisy Superdome.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and star RB Zeke Elliot have rekindled their playoff form from last season, beating divisional rivals the Giants, Redskins and Dolphins along the way.
The Saints lost franchise QB Drew Brees for roughly six week due to a thumb injury, step up Teddy Bridgewater. During the Saints’ Week 3 win over the Seahawks, Bridgewater mostly managed the game but he did throw for two TD’s.
With the running game of Alvin Kamara expected to be relied upon until Brees’ return, the Saints will face a tough Dallas Cowboys rush defense. This game may come down to which defense performs better on the night.
