Will Brian Wether The Storm? Friday’s Wetherby Racing Tips

Aspiring champion jockey and brand ambassador, Brian Hughes is at Wetherby Races today and is in on the saddle for two crucial runs in today’s card. Check out his forecasted predictions for his two rides below:

2.30 – No Blemishes for Ormesher’s Record

Ormesher puts his unbeaten hurdling record on the line in the listed Juvenile Hurdle. However, he was successful for me on both starts in the summer and had a good outing on the flat at Pontefract in October finishing fifth, having been hampered at a vital stage of the race.
Expect positive outcomes from this one; my horse is fit, jumps well, and I am looking forward to the ride!
Likely Threats
It will be a very competitive contest with Chief Justice, a winner for me in August, seeking a four-timer. He is a talented horse and along with Cracker Factory and King D’argent will provide stiff opposition.

3.40 – Crushing the Opposition?

Crushed was a fortunate winner of a maiden hurdle at Plumpton in May but has disappointed in runs on the flat and over hurdles in the interim. It will be a tough run today but Crushed has pulled through before; let’s hope for a good run off bottom weight.
Likely Threats
This could be a real tough one, he looks to be up against it in a race dominated by Storm Rising, an easy winner at Cheltenham last week and running without a penalty.
