I have a busy afternoon at Musselburgh today.
Constancio, a winner of two on the flat for Jim Bolger makes his hurdling debut for the Donald McCain yard after a break of 184 days. He is a nice horse who has schooled well and should go close today.
I am looking forward to the ride with Kensukes Kingdom the one to beat.
Court Painter, a maiden after 17 chase attempts, ran well at Hexham over two and a half miles in May when just beaten a length by Bafana Blue. A repeat of that run, in a very ordinary open race, would give him an e.w chance today.
Simone and Court Balloo look the main rivals.
Spin The Coin seemed sure to break his duck here in March when falling at the last at Carlisle with the race at his mercy. He probably needed the run when beaten fifteen and a half lengths at the same track 29 days ago. His homework is good and with the benefit of the recent wind op should be right in contention today.
Rioja Day looks the danger.
Henry’s Joy may have needed his comeback run at Ayr 19 days ago when finishing fifth on chasing debut. He should improve considerably for the experience and I expect a much better run today. The very consistent Civil Unrest looks the main threat.
The very consistent Civil Unrest looks the main threat.
Yes No Maybe So ran well on bumper debut at Ayr in late October finishing third just over 5 lengths behind the winner. The form has been franked as the second Soviet Castle won at Catterick ten days ago. I expect my horse to run a big race today with Leather Belly second to Finawn Bawn the main opponent.
Finawn Bawn is the biggest threat.
